Providing cost-effective sustainable solutions for a coal mine within the Muswellbrook region, SLR was engaged to illuminate pedestrian walkways and car park area lighting. Following this, an order was placed for an additional ten solar street lights, eliminating the need for expensive diesel-powered units while providing superior lighting performance.

Temporary Solar Street Lighting within a cyclone rate region can provide suppliers and manufacturers with significant challenges. With our unique in-house capacity for design and engineering, Site Light Rentals is the only hire company in Australia available to provide a large quantity of Compliant Solar Street Lights with RPEQ certification to the Australian Road Lighting Standards. Due to this capacity, we have since gone on to supply to projects in Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns.

Due to unsafe lighting standards on an active CHPP, SLR was approached to provide 18m and 24m reach high-output Jonker Lights for coal handling operations around live coal valves and train loading facilities, thus providing compliant and project-suitable lighting solutions for the Hunter Valley Coal Mine.

Based on the project’s needs for time-critical concrete pavement pours, bulk earthworks, and trims to grade earthworks over a substantial project area, Site Light Rentals supplied six of our mobile Jonker Light towers for the construction of Brisbane Airport’s new parallel runway.

Due to the superior height and light output over a ten day shutdown period, several Jonker Light towers were supplied to support the completion of rail track and overhead line replacements, significantly outperforming any trailer-mounted unit engaged on site.

With a diverse range of mobile lighting options compliant to Australian road lighting standards, SLR was engaged to supply trailer- and concrete block-mounted solar street lights for the temporary lighting requirements meeting RPEQ design standards. Our temporary road lighting capacity was also complimented by our supply of our trailer-mounted solar flood lights, as well as our mobile Jonker Lights, allowing for a safer and more efficient work environment.

With our creative fleet solutions, our solar light towers were chosen by a Tier 1 contractor to assist in construction works on the Port of Brisbane motorway over a long construction period, completely eliminating external management or re-fuelling.

Site Light Rentals supplied a package of temporary RPEQ solar street lights to comply with TMR lighting standards. By working with site engineers, we were able to replace a large number of diesel-powered light towers with our solar-powered solutions, eliminating the need and associated cost of fuel.

By supplying several of our Jonker Light Towers to the Rio Tinto refinery, the project was able to significantly extend its productivity while maintaining safe and appropriate lighting levels.

Over a four-year period, Site Light Rentals provided 24V LED Jonker Light towers for ROM pad and CHPP lighting. Our company and products were selected due to our reliable past performances in similar resource sectors and service support, which also resulted in a secondary cost saving benefit to the mining operation.
